The Perimenopause Sessions - Episode 3 - I'm so Tired - Why Can't I Sleep?
Sleep is something that so many of us are struggling with in our 40s and 50s. Although we may be following general advice for better sleep, for many of us it’s still not working. And it’s having a knock on effect on everything else - we’re more fatigued, more prone to mood swings and depression, our hunger hormones are affected contributing to weight gain and we lose motivation. In this episode, I will talk about what you can do if you are experiencing sleep problems in your perimenopause years.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
- Why sleep tends to become a struggle in your 40s and 50s
- First steps to follow if you are experiencing sleep problems
- How daylight and small diet adjustments can improve your sleep
- Stress management techniques to lower your cortisol
I want to emphasise that this is all about trial and error. Whatever you choose will be specific to you and your needs. So, my best advice on this one is to get experimenting, but also to know that disrupted sleep doesn’t have to be an inevitable part of the perimenopause years.
I have a very special free event coming up - a 3-day online workshop called Fatigued to Fabulous.
