078 Is it Time to Give Up the Fight?

Does day-to-day life sometimes feel like a battle that you’re just not winning? A battle to get through the to-do list, a battle to lose weight, a battle to keep up with work?

I feel like so many of us are in this place and have been for a long time - but now more than ever. And it’s exhausting.

It’s also not our fault because there’s lots of ways in which pressure is heaped on us from outside. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some things we can do for ourselves to release the grip and let go of the battle, which will do us (and our mental health) the world of good.

Today, we’ll talk about:

• Why we’re in this fight and where it all comes from

• How it’s dysregulating our nervous systems and making us feel not so great

• How to recognise if we are ‘in the fight’

• What we can do personally to start disengaging from the fight

This is about creating more balance for ourselves, one little step at a time, giving ourselves grace and starting to let go of the fight.
