125 Why We Must Stop Making Weight Loss Our Number One Goal

I’ve been on both sides of the coin with weight loss. On the one hand, spending many years chasing weight loss and making it my number one priority. And on the other hand, spending the last few years focusing on very different fitness and wellness goals.

And while there is absolutely nothing wrong with working towards weight loss, from my experience it’s when we chase this exclusively and make it the be all and end all, that the problems arise.

Problems with our self esteem and confidence and problems with actually maintaining any kind of fitness routine for the longer term. In fact, when weight loss is number one, ironically we can often end up in the exact same place that we started (or worse!).

I’m not here this week to tell you not to lose weight. But I am here to show you that there is a different way, and that when we can focus on different things, we actually have the ability to make so many positive changes to our lives and build the confidence, ease and peace within ourselves that we would all love to experience.
