025 “You Can’t be Trusted Around Food” and Other Lies That We’ve Been Told by the Diet Industry

Do you ever get that feeling that you can't be trusted around food? If you do, then you're definitely not alone. So many of us spend a good proportion of our lives worrying about food and trying everything in our power to control ourselves around it. We struggle and when we don’t succeed we blame ourselves. The diet culture has done an amazing job of persuading us that they've got the answer to our problems, that if we follow their diets, everything is going to be amazing. Diets tell us that they know better than we do.

Today I will share with you five tips that you can use to trust yourself and stay in control.

What You Will Learn In This Episode:

- How to start listening to your body

- How to choose your food from a place of nourishment

- How to persuade yourself to stop reading calorie count on packages

- How to add to your nutrition rather than take away

- How to eat the good stuff and stop telling yourself that you can’t be trusted

Once you break free and start telling yourself that you can be trusted around food, you're going to find a balance that works better for you. You will have more body confidence, you can start to live your life without feeling guilty for what you've eaten, and you will stop living in a place of deprivation. An intuitive eating is a movement that shows you how to start trusting yourself and using your intuition. It's about listening to the signals your body is giving you.
